On the original military ground in Tegel was the first runway build in 1948. Initially only in use for the French occupation troops. From 1960 in were also civilian flight handeled in Tegel. And later than in 1974, with the opening of the terminal building designed by gmp, it developed into the main civil Airport in West Berlin. After, reunification, the decision was made for a new main airport in Schönefeld. In Berlin the air traffic is concentrated on a new central air transportation hub with the new airport BER. Today´s airport Tegel is thus loose its previous use and the airport area is going to change into a new urban development space.
In 2017 will the complete flight operation on the airport Tegel end. The buildings on the airport grounds will be given back to the property owners (federal Republic of Germany, Berlin). In this connection has Berlin commissioned the Tegel Projekt GmbH with the management of the state-owned plots of land (approx. 159 ha) and building (about 33) and also with the development of a research and industrial park “The Urban Tech Republic”. Tegel Project Gmbh is using the Project Communication Management Systems in their projects as an data management system and for a legally secured communication.
The project platform PKM has to be set up for the specific requirements of the BauFm (Building and Facility Management) of the Tegel Project GmbH, by using a content manager. The BauFM is in charge for the revitalization of the existing buildings (here: subprojects) and their operation. As part of the implementation of subprojects the PKM platform should be usable during the planning and execution phase by the different stakeholders with differentiated responsibilities.
In addition to the first-level support of the provider, is it required to create a PKM project-specific data management system and legally secured communication with the help of a Content Manager, which adds values to the planning, implementation and operation of the building through the use of project platform PKM.
There are the organizational, legal and technical requirements to be created in time for the project-specific measures.
In addition to this approach, has the general system later than to be extendable by specific requirements of the project, like integration of the Facility and asset management. The Content Manager also structures and organizes the successful use of digital data storage, creates workflow and information links likewise with the definition of roles, responsibilities, interfaces, standards and content.
