The state-owned large property Gitschiner Straße 97-103 is located in central downtown location in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg adjacent to Berlin and on a very busy main road and has good transport links via the metro station “Hallesches Tor” (U1, U6 and U15) and several bus lines.
The office and administration building was built in 1905 for the representative house the Imperial Patent Office as a three-winged building with distinctive courtyard buildings and is monumental subject because of its historical significance since 1995. The office building has a total assignable area of approximately 43,800 m² (NGF) and is currently a representative office of the European Patent Office (EPO), the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA) and also the Jewish Museum Berlin (JMB).The main part of the building needs to be renovated and modernized. The construction tasks are evolving partly step by step partly in parallel order.
